This room reproduces, also in its internal architecture, the structure of a typical Etruscan chamber tomb of the Archaic period (6th - 5th century BC). The Cardarelli tomb, dedicated to the famous Tarquinian poet, is a painted hypogeum located in the necropolis of Monterozzi in Tarquinia (VT) and can be visited by the public. We have reproduced, in the ceiling and in the tympanums, the decorative motifs of the original subject: the columen (central beam) with its beautiful and delicate decoration with circular motifs and the tympanums with hunting scenes of wild beasts attacking fawns.
